Troon Yacht Haven

Troon Yacht Haven is situated on the Southern Clyde Estuary in the Firth of Clyde. Troon is one of the longest established and most accessible marinas in Scotland, only a few minutes by vehicle from Prestwick International Airport and 35 minutes from Glasgow. There are a range of facilities with plenty of Pontoons and benefits from deep water at all states of tide. Please have a look at the Troon Yacht Haven Website for more information and to contact them.

The Yacht Haven is very close to Troon town centre where there is a full range of services including cafes, restaurants and a supermarket. Troon is will known for its Golf - the course is as the Southern end of the Town.

There are plenty of good places to sail to from Troon. You could try heading to Lamlash or Brodick Bay on Arran with peaceful anchorages and mountain walks. Sailing up the Clyde Estuary leads you past Ardrossan and Largs. The Largs Yacht Haven is owned by the same company so if you are based in one, you can usually stay overnight at the other for no additional cost (Check with the marinas for details). Further afield, you can easily sail to Northern Ireland or out to the Western Isles by round the Mull of Kintyre or through the Crinnan Canal.

There is a ferry terminal for the SeaCat to Northern Ireland as well as a large cargo terminal at the entrance to the harbour so care should be taken when entering or leaving.
