Firth of Clyde

From the Heads of Ayr to Greenock on the Mainland including the Cumbrae Islands.

This stretch of the River Clyde is possibly one of the most popular and home to many sailing clubs and training schools. There are several large marinas as well as plenty of towns to visit.

The Main Marinas on this stretch include Troon, Clyde Marina at Ardrossan, Largs and Kip Marina at Inverkip. There are several other, smaller harbours at Ayr, Irvine, and at Millport on Cumbrae Island. There is also a small, drying harbour at Saltcoats.

Along this stretch, there are a few islands that you can moor near to get ashore including the great and little Cumbrae Islands. If case is taken, you can also stop at Lady Isle.
